Hard Drives

If you are experiencing functioning issues with your hard drive in the form of hard drive failure, formatting errors or various other hard drive concerns take the initiative and contact our professional team today. Our hard drive data recovery services cover almost all types and brands of media. We are equipped with the best data recovery tools and facilities to outperform other companies. Our resources are the best in the industry, and we have received numerous accolades for the quality of our work. We utilize the best data recovery tools and knowledge.

Types of Hard Drives Failure

In general, there are two types of hard drive failures::

  • Mechanical Failure: This type of failure is related to physical damage of the hard drive. In the case of a mechanical failure, the hard drive is broken or damaged due to physical impact which results in a hard drive malfunction. The media may start making a noise; it may get hot or stop spinning. The most common mechanical hard drive failures include faulty motors or head crashes..

  • Logical failure: In case of a logical failure, the hard drive remains healthy (it spins, it doesn’t make any noise, and the operating system recognizes it), but there are issues with data storage. Some of the common logical failures include accidental formatting, deleting files without proper back up and missing partitions.

  • There are cases where both mechanical and logical hard drive failure occur simultaneously. Bad sectors and faulty firmware are the examples of mechanical and logical hard drive failure occurring simultaneously.

Hard Drive Data Recovery is Possible

Regardless of the cause of data loss, in most cases it is possible to fully recover data from a failed hard drive.

In the case of a logical hard drive failure, the file is not completely gone, but the place it used to occupy is cleared. Consequently, when you work with other data, it takes up that free space. You should immediately stop using the media once a failure is detected. Otherwise, when new data occupies the free space, the lost data will be beyond recovery.

Mechanical hard drive failures are considerably more complicated. Because a hard drive is a very delicate and sensitive object, any kind of physical impact could essentially ruin the hard drive beyond repair. In cases of a mechanical failure, the engineers need to repair the broken or damaged disc before attempting an actual data recovery.

We can recover data from the following cases:

  • Disk Reformatting/Accidental
  • Mechanical Hard Drive Failures
  • Head Crash Causing Platter Damage
  • Virus/Malware
  • Deleted Files and Partitions
  • Blue Screen Of Death
  • File Overwrites
  • Physical Damage From Fire or Flood
  • Software Corruption

We can recover data on all operating systems including:

  • Windows (Vista, XP, NT, ME, 2003, 2000, etc.)
  • Mac OS
  • Linux
  • Unix
